Identificacion of silverware.

1 :		 History of silverware, fabrication and decoration techniques.
2 : Silver substitute and imitations.  
European hallmarks 1850 - 1950.
   
3 -4: FRANCE 19th century
First Part and Second Part.
Historical and artistic background.  
A practical study of the hallmarks and the famous silversmiths.
 5 Silverware in England.  
Typical objects and practical study of the hallmarks.  
Old Sheffield Plate, Electro silverplate and practical pieces of advices.
6 : 17th and 18th century silversmiths in England.  
A study of the evolution of styles and of the famous silversmiths.


COURSE: IDENTIFICATION EXERCICES

Study of objects - items with different kinds of hallmarking system.
Please take with you:
Book:  Tardy,  Poinçons d'argent.
Cotton gloves, loupe- magnifying glass, (x3 + x 6) and  3 items - objects.

If you cannot find the tardy, let me know it long in advance ,
